Saguenay Fjord National Park July11-13th

Located about 3 hours from Quebec City we stayed at Baie-Éternité sector on the South shore for 2 nights. After we arrived and were setup we went out on a bike ride from the campsite to the Saguenay river. It was scenic but all downhill which meant a tough ride uphill on the way home.

A Canadian Coast Guard hydrofoil landed at the park
The following day we took a boat tour of the Fjord directly from the park.

Statue of Notre-dame-du-Saguenay can be seen as small white image on right cliff top. Josh and I would hike to this starting from outside left of this picture.

In the afternoon Josh and I would hike to the statue at Cap Éternité, the highest cliffs on the fjord. This takes about three hours and is primarily uphill and more than a little challenging. Then a bike ride back to the campsite uphill after the hike.

We would travel to the Saint Marguerite sector on the North shore for the 3rd night at Saguenay Fjord National Park and cross the Saguenay river by ferry at Tadoussac.

At Saint Marguerite we would take a bike path to the overlook where the endangered beluga whales can often be seen.
